About the event
Is this you? You see people reading tarot cards and figure they have some talent or gift that must be beyond your reach.
The deck you bought long ago sits on the shelf, gathering dust. When you try to use them, it makes little sense, and you constantly refer to a guidebook. It's awkward and uninspired. You’re filled with questions that have turned into blocks.
Now, imagine holding deep, personal, and meaningful wisdom at your fingertips. Picture yourself with the skills and knowledge to confidently access intuitive information anytime.
Tarot is a powerful tool for self-discovery and transformation. With its 78 symbolic cards, the Tarot provides profound access to our inner wisdom and catalyzes intuition, new perspectives, and a closer glimpse at the Truth.
In this introductory course, you’ll learn: • The history of the development and use of the Tarot. • The difference between the Major and Minor Arcana and what they represent. • The royalty cards, and how they are used. • Choosing a personal deck that resonates with you. • True and false claims about how to handle your cards. • Steps to prepare for a reading. • How to ask the right questions to get better results. • Three ways to effectively shuffle and cut the cards. • The importance of managing your energy and focus. • Reading the cards upright or reversed, and how it makes a difference. • Step-by-step instruction on creating the Celtic Cross spread, with a detailed explanation of the positions that tell us the energy surrounding the question, the origin of the issue, the effect it has had, the next step on the journey, the client’s fears and expectations, outcomes, and much more! • Watch a demonstration on how to put together a meaningful reading. • How to give guidance on changing unfavorable outcomes. • The ethics of being a reader and best practices. • Get your questions answered and be inspired to pursue the skills and art of reading tarot cards.
This class is ideal for soulful seekers who are beginners with no experience and those who seek additional training to boost their present tarot skills.
This introductory course is foundational for the extended course, Wisdom of the Tarot, which details the meanings of each card and prepares you to be a successful tarot card reader.
Mary Lee has instructed tarot classes since 1997, and many of her students have gone on to enjoy careers as professional tarot readers.
We will use the Robin Wood Tarot deck as a demonstration. These are similar to the Rider-Waite deck. It’s optional to bring your preferred deck, if you have one, plus a pen and paper for notes.
$55 per person. Payment includes the class and a handout with diagrams, information, and exercises.
Copies of the Mary Lee's books will be available for purchase.
